Qualification
- For Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Engineering (B.E/ B.Tech. / Equivalent) :- A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament.
- For Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Non Engineering (B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A/ BCA, BBA):- A degree granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament/ Educational Institutes established by a State Government / by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government.
- For Diploma Apprentice Trainees:- (i) A diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government / by a University / by an Institute recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma.
(ii) Sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he/ she may hold a diploma in Engg./Technology.
- For ITl Apprentice Trainees:- (i) A certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education.
(ii) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he/ she may hold a certificate mentioned in (i) above.
or
ITI from NCVT/SCVT Board.
Note
- Registration of BE / B.Tech. / Diploma (Engineering) & B.Com. / B.Sc. /B.A/ BCA / BBA (Non Engineering) candidates on (https://nats.education.gov.in) and ITI candidates on Apprenticeship portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.org) is mandatory. Kindly see respective websites for registration. The registration no. is to be uploaded while filling the online application.
- For B.E / B.Tech. / Diploma (Engineering- Apprentice Trainees) & B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A / BCA / BBA (Non Engineering – Apprentice Trainees); Candidates who have passed in the year 2021 /2022/2023 (last three years) as regular candidates are only eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam earlier than year 2021 are not eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualification are not eligible to apply.
The tenure of the Apprenticeship for the above categories /trades would be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship
Age Limit
Age Limit (As on 09/04/2024)
- Minimum Age – 18 years
- Maximum Age – Unreserved category — 27 yrs, OBC — 30 yrs, SC/ST — 32 yrs, PWD – 37 Yrs.
Application Fee
- Application fee – Nil
Stipend
Candidates finally selected for the Apprenticeship Training would be eligible for stipend as given below as per Govt. of India rules:
(i) Engineering Stream:
- Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./Eqvt.) : Rs.9000/-per month
- Diploma Apprentice: Rs.8000/-per month
- ITI Apprentice: Rs.7000/-per month
(ii} Non Engineering-
- General Stream: Graduate Apprentice (B.Com./ B.Sc. /B.A/ BCA / BBA) : Rs.9000/-per month

Selection Procedure
- Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Engineering (B.E / B.Tech. / Equivalent), Graduate Apprentice Trainees – Non Engineering (B.Com. / B.Sc. /B.A/BCA/ BBA), Diploma Apprentice Trainees / ITl Apprentice Trainees: Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of Academic Merit/Written Test/Interview as may be required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
