Brief Introduction: – Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates who are Indian Nationals for training in Metro Railway/ Kolkata Metro as Act Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act. 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 as amended from time to time. Reservation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/ESM/PwBD candidates shall be accordance with the relevant rules issued by the Railway Board.

Qualification

The candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th class) examination or its equivalent under (10+2 examination system) from a recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in and also posses National Trade certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Age Limit

The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age (as on cut off date of receiving application).
Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in
case of OBC-NCL candidates.
For Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), upper age limit is relaxed by 10
years.
Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen.

Training Period & Stipend

Training period & stipend will be as per extant rules & directives issued by Railway Board (Metro Railway/kolkata) from time to time.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared (Trade-wise) in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification in respective trades. The merit list in each trade will be prepared percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation & ITI giving equal weight age with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks.
Shortlisted candidates, thus enlisted in respective trades, will be called for document verification against 1:1 notified vacancies.
A final merit list will be prepared trade wise, community-wise equal to the number of slots in the descending order of merit, as stated above.

All relevant details must be carefully filled up by the candidate himself. The particulars like the Name, Date of Birth, etc must match with the same that have been recorded in the Matriculation certificate.
