Brief Introduction: – SCR (South Central Railway) invites online applications from candidates residing in its jurisdiction for the engagement of 4,232 apprentices. The training, under the Apprentice Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962, is open to eligible candidates meeting the prescribed conditions outlined in the notification. Applications must be submitted online and no other mode of submission of applications would be entertained.

Note: Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for
apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by a separate
scheme of apprenticeship.
Age Limit
- The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have
completed 24 years of age as on the cut-off date for receiving online applications i.e. 28.12.2024. - Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST applicants and 03 years in case of OBC-NCL applicants.
- For Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), upper age limit is relaxed by 10
years. - Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen.

Application Fee
- For SC/ST/PwBD/Women Candidates – Nil
- For Other Candidates – Rs. 100/- (Non-Refundable)

Training Period & Stipend
- Training will be arranged in accordance with the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council. The selected candidates will be paid stipend during Apprenticeship at the prescribed rates as per extant instructions.
Selection Procedure
- Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act,
1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both 10th Class/matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. - There will be no written test or viva.

- The candidates are required to apply ONLINE by visiting the link www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in on the official website of South Central Railway. They must go through the detailed instructions before filling up the online applications. All relevant items must be carefully filled up by the candidate himself. The particulars like the Name, Date of Birth, etc must match with the same that have been recorded in the Matriculation certificate.
