- Training duration: One Year
- Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC and PWDs will be as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 and its amendments thereafter.
- Preference to PAF/PAA: 25% of total seats are earmarked for candidates from Project Affected Families (PAF) and Project Affected Areas (PAA) of SJVN with first preference to members of Project Affected Families. However, the candidates will have to produce a certificate in this regard issued from the competent authority/ Revenue Department/ Panchayat and duly verified by concerned SJVN offices.
- Only Candidates who are domicile of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply.
Qualification
- Graduate Apprentices: –
- For Sr. No. 1 to 7 :- Full time Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology in relevant branch, from Institute/ University recognized by AICTE.
- For Sr. No. 8 :- Graduate with 02 years Full time MBA from Institute / University recognized by UGC with specialization in HR.
- For Sr. No. 9 :- Graduate with 02 years Full time MBA from Institute / University recognized by UGC with specialization in Finance.
- Diploma (Technician) Apprentices: – Full time diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant branch, from Institute/ University recognized by AICTE/ Board of Technical Education of State.
- ITI (Technician) Apprentices: – ITI passed from any recognized University/ Institute.
Age Limit
- Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on closing date i.e. 10.02.2025
- (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC-NCL).
- Candidates belonging to PwBD categories shall be given age relaxation up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST) and up to 13 years for OBC-NCL candidates.
Application Fee
- Application fee – Rs. 100/- (SC/ST/PWD exempted)
Stipend
Graduate Apprentices: Rs 10,000/- Per Month.
Diploma Apprentices: Rs 8,000/- Per Month.
ITI Apprentices: Rs 7,000/- Per Month.

- Candidates are advised to register as a ITI/Diploma/Graduate Apprentice online in the following portals as per their Trades below:
a) Technician Apprentice – ITI at https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/
b) Technician Apprentice – Diploma at https://nats.education.gov.in/student_register.php
c) Graduate Apprentice at: https://nats.education.gov.in/student_register.php - Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online through the Career section on SJVN’s website: www.sjvn.nic.in. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted.
Selection Procedure
- There will be no interviews. The eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit list formed on the basis of marks secured in Matriculation examination (10th), 12th and ITI Course/ Diploma and Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or MBA as per following details:-
